    Could Facebook prove a threat to Apple (AAPL) and Google's (GOOG) mobile app hegemony? In tandem with its iPad app, Facebook rolled out a platform for developers to write HTML5 apps that can support multiple mobile ecosystems. Over the long run, the platform could have the potential to be an alternative to the App Store and Android Market.
