    The Global Post's talks with Nokia (NOK) employees finds them to be demoralized, bitter, and speculating over whether CEO Stephen Elop is a Microsoft (MSFT) mole. Matt Rosoff takes the story as evidence Nokia employees, some of whom mocked Apple (AAPL) as a "California fruit company" even as of 2011, are still in denial.

    I worked with Nokia for 4 years and this sentiment does not surprise me in the least. It is also very typical of companies who have been at the top of their particular market and fall from grace. It takes a very significant event to get them to see the new 'way of things'. I guess this has not happened for these folks at Nokia. They still hold significant market share, they are just not the infallible market leaders in all things mobile as they once were.

    The sad part of all of this is that Nokia always had the best RF designs. But the market changed and a mobile phone is not a phone anymore. Thats the part they never understood.
