In the kind of content deal one normally associates with Netflix or Amazon, Yahoo (YHOO) has gained exclusive rights to Saturday Night Live's 38-year archive, as well as clips from the current season. Though overshadowed by YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu, Yahoo has a sizable online video business - comScore estimates Yahoo served 331M videos to 43.6M unique viewers in the U.S. in February - but the business badly needs to improve its mobile reach. The SNL deal comes amidst reports Yahoo is looking to buy Dailymotion (big in France) from France Telecom.
