3D Systems (DDD +8.2%) is now up strongly in the wake of its Q1 report (I, II), and is giving a lift to rivals Stratasys (SSYS +5.4%) and ExOne (XONE +2.8%). On 3D's earnings call, CFO Damon Gregoire (previous) insisted a rising materials margin and a greater mix of materials revenue can allow total gross margin to rise further. Piper (Ovreweight) notes organic growth was 22% (total rev. growth was 31%), while predicting the industry "can sustain 20%+ growth over the next several years."
