    This market simply refuses to go down. Today it seemed like the stories about the Fed ending QE could have sent the markets into a tailspin. All it did was cause the mREIT sector to slide.

    Now that confuses me a bit because with ZIRP in place, the spread has widened and profits going forward could increase, and so can dividends, especially with Annaly (NLY).

    What am I missing? NLY is now selling below book and it had record profits. The CreXus deal is a sound shift of gears for NLY, and we might see dividends increase.

    WHAT AM I MISSING?

    Can someone fill in the blanks or should we buy more NLY?

    Annaly Capital (NLY) CEO Wellington Denahan exercised on May 9 options to purchase 100K shares of company stock at $13.25 each (today's close $14.73), upping her stake in the company 11% to more than 1M shares.
