UBS Willow Fund Securities Fraud Investigation

The White Law Group is investigating potential securities fraud claims involving the UBS Willow Fund.

The UBS Willow Fund is a distressed debt hedge fund. Investors were recently informed that the fund would be liquidated after having sustained substantial losses.

A class action lawsuit has also been filed against the UBS Willow Fund alleging that the fund invested contrary to its stated investment strategy. Specifically, the suit alleges that the stated investment strategy was investing in debt securities but that the fund actually invested by trading in high-risk credit default swaps.

While the class action is one avenue of potential recovery for UBS Willow Fund investors, the securities attorneys of The White Law Group are investigating potential claims against the brokerage firms and financial advisors that sold the Fund.

Based on what is known about the UBS Willow Fund, it appears that certain financial advisors may have misrepresented the risks and investment strategy of the investment, and/or failed to perform the adequate due diligence to discover that the fund had deviated from its stated investment strategy.
