Today's weather headlines affecting stocks and commodities:
Flooded fields across Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky brings field prep work to a halt;
Already saturated fields across Lousiana, Mississippi and Alabama will get another 3 to 5 inches of rain this weekend;
Flight delays and cancellations due to snow and blowing snow at Minneapolis will affect Delta (NYSE:DAL) and commuter flights today. Flight ops will return to normal Saturday.
Dry weather is spreading north across Venezuela and Columbia with the onset of El Nino. Look for coffee prices to climb more over the next 6 months.
Pre-monsoonal thunderstorms are beginning to form over far northern India. Rainfall has been virtually non-existent so far this summer.
