  • Apple Cannot Keep Up With The iPhone 5 Demand! Sounds Good Doesn't It? 0 comments

The problem with that statement is that it doesn't tell the whole story.

Foxconn cannot build the iPhone fast enough *because* the damn thing is too complicated.

" an anonymous Foxconn official told the Wall Street Journal last month, that "the iPhone 5 is the most difficult device that Foxconn has ever assembled." The reason? "To make it light and thin, the design is very complicated," this person said."

So if Apple designers overreached and the best contract manufacturer on the planet can't figure out how to build it, should Apple fans be characterizing that as simply as "the iPhone 5 is so popular manufacturing can't keep up with demand!"

    I don't think so.

    Disclosure: I am long NOK.
