A picture (or a pair of charts) is worth a thousand words:
Yes, sports fans, in week 4 of the DJIA competition the Pedigrees of the Dow finally overtake the Dogs of the Dow. Even though Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) continues with its phenomenal 19.23% gainer, it seems that AT&T (NYSE:T) and Verizon (NYSE:VZ) are determined to drag the Dogs down, with a little help from Intel (NASDAQ:INTC).
Meanwhile, the Pedigrees are bunched up, but for the poorly performing Intel. 3M (NYSE:MMM) had an exceptional week, and Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) broke into the $27.00 barrier, giving it what seems to be a new 52-week high.
Disclosure: I am long PFE.
