  • Are there any brokerages that don't follow this requirement?

I preferred the old margin rules -- if I have $300k in an account why should the brokerage care if I can lose $10k or $30k in one day of trading a 3X leveraged ETF ?

Since it seems like this a requirement and not a guideline are there any brokerages that still use the original rules? If so, please send an e-mail to chilrum@yahoo.com to let me know and I will be quite grateful.
