Seeking investments without using the ridiculous style-box approach. If I can make a return in excess of what I judge the risk to be, I'll invest. Over time, using a Kelly formula, I tend to weight positions from 2-10%. A diversified portfolio is a career-saving move, not an investment... More
  • Stan Druckenmiller On The Fed, Markets And Greedy Senior Citizens 3 comments

30 min interview with Stan Druckenmiller on BB. Stan was the head of Soros Management and was the driving force behind the 'breaking of the pound' in the early 90's. Prior to that he built a track record that makes him every bit the equal of _fill in the blank_.

He does not often speak in public. Although he is now retired, when he offers his opinion I pay attention:

Sept. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Stanley Druckenmiller, founder of Duquesne Capital Management LLC and one of the best performing hedge fund managers of the past three decades, talks about U.S. entitlement spending, political gridlock in Washington, Federal Reserve policy and leadership, and investment strategy. He speaks with Bloomberg Television's Erik Schatzker and Stephanie Ruhle on Bloomberg Television's "Market Makers." Bloomberg's Al Hunt also speaks. (Source: Bloomberg)

Thanks for posting this. As you said we don't get to hear Stanley often.
By the way did you buy anymore TSRX at last call? I bought a few thousand more at 3:59pm at 13.64. Hoping they won't be wallpaper in three years

Author’s reply » BTW RUE dropped a K and looks like nothing they can MAC about, unless continued AUG weakness will trigger it. Weak earnings that mirror but dont match the worst of the bunch.

Author’s reply » Same here. I thought anything under .15c was a cheap lottery ticket. After the PR, zero risk of non-closure. Decent place to put BMC proceeds to work for 24 hrs in more size that I ever would hold to flip or place at market risk.
