Side note to followers, this is a record breaker for me, 3 different posts in one day on the same stock.

Anyway, finally seeing a public announcement from Pfizer re: their substantial corporate and product line re-alignment/re-org which they are positioning as a game-changer. I believe they are now prime to go in terms of supporting this re-org with high-profile (multi-billion) investments.

    It's on...

Today, Pfizer is announcing plans to move forward to internally separate its commercial operations into three business segments, two of which will include Innovative business lines and a third which will include the Value business line...

One of the Innovative business segments ... will generally include products across multiple therapeutic areas that are expected to have market exclusivity beyond 2015. The therapeutic areas include Inflammation and Immunology, CV/Metabolic, Neuroscience and Pain, Rare Diseases and Women's/Men's Health ... the other Innovative business segment will include Vaccines, Oncology and Consumer Healthcare...

The Value business segment ... will include products that generate strong, consistent cash flow, and will be positioned to provide patients access to effective, lower-cost, high-value treatments. In addition to products that have lost market exclusivity, it will generally include mature, patent-protected products that are expected to lose exclusivity through 2015 in most major markets, biosimilars and current and future established products collaborations...

Personally, I think it is a large stretch to connect the dots between PFE and AMRN. I doubt very much PFE is realigning its entire operations with the intent to purchase a $5.38 stock like AMRN. If PFE wanted AMRN, it would have gobbled it up a long time ago.

I've got the feeling it will be awhile before there is any BO of AMRN. The GIA path has already been launched and BP will sit patiently on the sidelines to observe whether AMRN sinks or swims.

Author’s reply » Let me clarify, I'm not suggesting PFE did this for AMRN t all, I'm saying if it was in the works, strategically PFE would not pull trigger on transactions like AMRN until strategy executed and announced. So "if" PFE in the game, it removes overhang for them to act. That's all.

Side note- I have not been shy to say PFE is best fit all along. GSK and AZN close seconds...

Lot of players in BP. You really think they are all going to sit on their hands? That sounds the opposite of everything I have been taught about people and money.

Wow. apparently nobody really cares about any of this. A smidge over 550k shares traded in the first hour and sitting around .20 cents above the 52 week low. What the hell is it going to take to move this stock North? I PRAY JZ doesn't lay on egg during the CC........

This is getting to be a comedy show.
