The Woo Group Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

The Woo Group, a Hong Kong based equity researcher announces the appointment of Ono Yori as Chief Financial Officer to replace current CFO Morita Ryota.

On Monday, The Woo Group Chief Executive Officer Jason Woo announced the appointment of Ono Yori as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director to be effective immediately. Morita Ryota will retire after eight years as the Chief Financial Officer but will remain available for assistance during the transition period.

"I would like to thank Mr Morita for the countless contributions he has made at The Woo Group. His tireless work effort help lead the company to 8% year on year growth. He will be greatly missed by all of us. I am glad that he will assist the company during this transitional period," said CEO Jason Woo. He continued, "We are delighted to welcome Ono Yori as our new Chief Financial Officer. His varied range of experience, deep insight, and broad market knowledge will enhance the management team at The Woo Group. His appointment represents the emphasis that we have put on developing the next generation of leaders at firm."

Ono Yori attended the University of Koyto to obtain his undergraduate degree in economics. He later continued on to Yale University in the United States to receive his M.B.A. After that he spent ten years in the United States working for Citi Group. After building his market knowledge a vast network of contacts he returned to Japan and created his own hedge fund, where he was both CEO and CFO.

"I am looking forward to joining the team at The Woo Group. I believe that my experience and leadership abilities will aid in generating additional revenue. I am sure that I will contribute to the long tradition of success at The Woo Group, said Ono Yori.
