2013 could be one of the busiest years on record for mortgage servicing sales, according to a new report released this week by Paul Miller, an analyst at FBR Capital Markets. He estimates that there are up to $700 billion of distressed mortgage assets that will eventually be sold by large, traditional servicers to the growing cadre of specialty servicers and subservicers.
