  • What is Intels and Ciscos Future Worth? 1 comment
Jun 12, 2011 9:29 AM | about stocks: INTC, CSCO, DIA, QQQ, SPY

Intellectual propaganda is rife and anyone with media connections, who can tell “a good story”, will help to add negative spins.

     First Intel v Arm Holdings

A lot of storytelling and "what if's" have been printed and spoken on how ARM chips will beat Intel in the years to come. This type of fear mongering has no real bases in truthfulness and is just opinions of a few analyst  and then blown out all over the media as truthful reporting.

Here are a few truthful facts ...

Arm has a PE of 86 and Intel has a PE of 10.

Intel pays a 31/2% dividend. Intel has 40 billion in cash.

Intel’s new chip is 4 year in front of the completion.

    Intel has great server growth.

Intel is a leader in Cloud Tech. Intel owns the best Internet security and is making headway in smart phones.

Intel has the best R&D in the universe and the cash to back it up. Intel is building new plants around the world.

And best of all … “The results will speak for themselves.”

    Now Cisco at $15

Cisco has a PE of 10, 40 billion in cash is aware of their problems and are now making the correct moves for future prosperity

For sure Cisco has not performed well over the last year or so, however, it keeps beating the earnings estimates, has billions in cash waiting to come back to the USA… If they and other companies repatriate overseas money and pay lower taxes they can afford to give their shareholders a big dividend reward for being loyal.

In turn the government get more tax from the dividend holders. It is a win, win, which many negative minded analysts over look…

Truth in the media is the rarest commodity on earth as very few “experts” know how to be open enough to receive it!

Opinions reign supreme and truth is rarely heard or seen.

I completely agree with your opinion on Intel (my biggest position) and I would add that the mobile chip space gets crowded and so far only AAPL (they let Samsung produce their chips) makes big money. Also in mobile the money is not made with chips but with software and services. Mobile chips are penny stuff and I bet Intel with their production prowess will make a couple of pennies more than their competitors (as always) once they enter that business.
Since INTC will not use ARMH design -and hence pay no royalties-they will be the most profitable mobile chip maker.

There is more going for Intel: SSDs, security woes and McAffee, Sandy Bridge, Lightpeak, 10B sharebuyback, dividends...

CSCO IMHO must get rid of Chambers and non core businesses to turn around.
