Call me cynical or perhaps even skeptical but i do enjoy solving a good mystery when it comes to human behavior. I usually can find answers that satisfy my curiosity. However, there is one big mystery right now that I am having difficulty solving and that is, who is it, that can convince people the biggest debtor nation in history can get clever investors to buy a ten year treasury note under three percent and believe they can make money on it?
Corporate profits in the USA are getting better and many companies in the S & P 100 are raising their dividends.
So my question to all the financial mavens is... How can the USA treasury bills and notes be a safe heaven at such low yields ( two year at 0.6%, ten year under 3%) when the USA debt is at an all time high?
