Piper Jaffray just upgraded FSYS to a buy and placed a $24 price target. I agree, because the company will easily be able to exceed eps estimates of 6 cents and sales of $99 million when it reports in two weeks. The fact is, FSYS management is smart enough to sand bag estimates ( in effect, under promising in order to over deliver). Look for FSYS to come in at $103 million on the top line and .09 on the bottom line- this beat will send the shorts scurrying to cover and MOMO players jumping in for a nice 10-15% instant rally.

    Disclosure: I am long FSYS.

Author’s reply » The Board of Directors needs to do the right thing and reward shareholder's by authorizing a minimum $20 million stock buyback program. This would boost Street confidence in the shares and increase eps as there would be fewer shares to allocate the earnings through. The company was smart enough to sell shares in a secondary offering at $30, why not be smarter and buy those same shares back at almost 1/2 the price-that sounds like pretty good math to me!

Author’s reply » earnings out and they were mixed..met eps, but lacked on the top line. One time charges were a problem such as currentcy exchange charges, inventory writedowns and income tax hits. Guidance was pulled back. Management is oscillating too much, but did talk about the GM business in the pipeline, saying it could be released any second. One thing for sure, the recipe for a stock buyback plan could not be better. When you have a pristine balance sheet, laced with a heavy cash position and your stock is trading at five year lows, it makes sense to do the right thing for shareholder's and quickly adopt a meaningful buyback plan.
