    Once again it is time for a goals/progress update. I am pleased to report that annualized dividend income increased in August, extending the streak to 27 consecutive months of increases after June 2010's decline. Since I began publicly tracking annualized dividend income in November 2007, it has increased in 56 of the last 58 months. My goals were defined in this December 1, 2007 Investing Goals post and last updated in my 2012 Investing Goals post. Below is an updated version of the table found in the original post....

    D4L - I noticed you hold PFF. Since I'm not familiar with it, I did some research, mainly because you seem to have an excellent handle on dividend growth. What struck me the most was, after going back 5 years, how erratic the dividends have been. There doesn't seem to be any pattern. So I had a few questions - what % of your portfolio would you recommend for pff, would you hold any types of bonds or bond funds, and why do you like this etf so much, other than the monthly dividend and the expense ratio ? Thanks!!

    bluesmoke: I have not bought PFF for quite some time and will like;ly remove it from my DG portfolio in the future.
