If the market crashes, we'll see a temporary run up in the price of TLT.
I'll buy long dated puts, out of the money.
If I'm right, 20 year treasuries will come under big pressure as the Fed prints money with wild abandon to re liquefy the banks and insurance industry and the commercial real estate sector. So, I'll be short the 20 year treasury.
Just noticed that my 3500 shares of American Sierra (AMNP) disappeared. I put on a stop for my buy in price. Was up about $600 when I went to the doc's office. Guess I broke even. Well, no, down $9.00 on trading fees.
Very interesting. Why tax exempt munies when the state and local govts are paying with i.o.u.s. and the like? Why won't they default? This is a legit question, not meant to be disparaging in any way. It would never occur to me to invest in munies under this scenario, just learning!

OG: Greetings. Excellent question and you default observation is very true so one must be selective when looking at bonds. CA Should be avoided like the plague along with most projects in the north east. However the recent Otero and Dona Ana county issues to support Space Port America in partnership with the Branson goup should do very well with little risk.

I like that project. I was an L5 member, and Planetary Club member, for decades. NASA needs more American free market competition.
