  • NAND Flash Contract Price Shows Slight Drop In Second Half Of December  0 comments
    Jan 7, 2014 11:23 AM

DRAMeXchange, a research division of global market research firm TrendForce, has recently revealed that the 2H'Dec NAND Flash contract prices have dropped slightly (1-3%) compared to the first half of the month.

The minor price drop is attributed to:

    1. The NAND Flash buyers' year-end inventory count, which weakened the general desire to purchase

    2. The healthy inventory levels resulting from the sluggish sales performances in the US and European markets.

    3. The lack of pressure on the NAND Flash suppliers' part to digest their capacity beginning from December

The research firm concludes by saying that the NAND Flash contract price downtrend is likely continue if supply continues to increase and demand stays weak.
