XZERES Corp. is focused on designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing distributed generation, wind power systems for the alternative energy market. The company’s grid connected and off grid wind turbine systems are utilized for micro-grid based rural electrification, agricultural purposes, small business, rural electric utility systems, as well as other private, corporate infrastructure and government applications.

The company’s product portfolio currently includes 2.5 kW and 10 kW rated power systems, with additional larger systems in development. Comprised of a wind turbine, power electronics, towers, and auxiliary components, each system provides a complete solution featuring high efficiency design with reduced service and maintenance cost; easy installation with superior performance; and the ability to capture maximum benefits of a wide variety of wind conditions.

XZERES leverages a system integrator business model combined with service-centric vertical integration to provide complete solutions. In addition to designing, developing, manufacturing, testing, assembling and marketing its systems, the company provides site assessment, customer financing, assistance with government-based financial incentives and local permitting, application engineering, installation, support and maintenance.

For the most recently reported fiscal period, XZERES announced a 38% sequential increase in quarterly revenues. The company plans to aggressively expand sales and marketing efforts domestically and internationally, as well as enlarge its current product line, for further growth. Leading the industry with an array of exceptional products and services, XZERES is well positioned to capitalize on the growing renewable energy market.

XPWR may be a company to watch again. Recent updates pertaining to improved financial footing and $6MM backlog being delivered in the next few months could prove Zacks Research correct with a price target of 60 cents; shares were purchased last Friday at.31.

Full disclosure: I'm a holder of XPWR shares.

Surprised this company remains invisible for even passing comment. XPWR just released third quarter 2012 numbers and showed gross revenue of over $1.9 million, an over 100% increase from the third quarter 2011 of $900K+. This company continues to face some hurdles but warrants a look given it currently trades at .16 cents a share and has a market capitalization of under $5 million. It has experienced heavy buying and selling since December 2012; I have been one of those buying with whatever change I can find in the sofa cushions as I believe this company represents deep value in the wind power and green tech areas.
