Hipcricket®, Augme® Technologies' one-stop mobile advertising and marketing subsidiary, announced today that several of its employees are reaching out to train and form relationships with the next wave of mobile advertising and marketing leaders at nationally recognized universities.

Hipcricket employees Philippe Poutonnet and Guy Bogford currently have a presence at the University of Washington. Derek Wiggins is providing his expertise to both New York University and Fordham University. They're there to teach future advertising and marketing professionals the skills needed to develop and execute mobile and digital marketing and advertising campaigns.

"We are investing in their and Hipcricket's future," explained Doug Stovall, Hipcricket's COO. "These students are the next generation of marketing and advertising leaders. With the knowledge they learn from us, these students are ready to hit the ground running upon graduation. This in turn improves the caliber of candidates who can help Hipcricket grow, innovate, and maintain a market leadership position."

Philippe Poutonnet, Hipcricket's vice president of marketing, is on the University of Washington's advisory board and a guest speaker for the school's Certificate of Mobile Business Strategy. Poutonnet's combination of mobile analyst and agency experience gives him unique insight to help guide course design and keep the program current with emerging business trends.

Guy Borgford, senior director of brand innovation, is also an instructor for the University of Washington certificate program. This fall semester, Borgford will teach a section dedicated to mobile marketing. His classroom topics will include tips on creating mobile marketing and advertising blueprints for success, the mobile marketing mix, mobile tactics, mobile advertising, acquisition models, defining KPIs and ROI, and implementing consumer engagement programs.

Derek Wiggins, vice president of sales, teaches mobile advertising and marketing at both New York University and Fordham University. His discussions cover the gamut of the mobile landscape, which includes mobile media, mobile applications, mobile web, and messaging, as well as creative, function, and ideation. His instruction examines how a horizontal mobile strategy can effectively reach consumers on the go.

"It's a testament to Hipcricket's talent pool that such prestigious universities selected our employees to teach their students," remarked Stovall. "To teach a discipline that is changing daily takes great knowledge and creativity. Philippe, Guy, and Derek are all dedicated to improving our industry with the highest level of service to their clients and students. I wish I had instructors with their level of expertise."
