NeoMedia Technologies, Inc., the pioneer in global mobile barcode management solutions, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has allowed a NeoMedia patent application relating to a messaging interchange system that enables interoperability of different messaging systems. The application addresses the increased demand for improved mobile barcodes.

The patent is entitled MESSAGING INTERCHANGE SYSTEM, and covers the systems and methods that allow mobile barcode users automatic access to remote computers. These systems and methods provide faster and easier implementation of new applications and services.

The patent brings NeoMedia's current intellectual property portfolio to more than 70 issued and pending patent applications, reflecting industry advances and demand.
