Variables Of Valuation

As we look at things, read/watch news, talk to business people and look for places to invest, I want to compile a mental list of variables that will make me just know a good investment. Its like the basic rules, missing a crucial variable can make an investment into speculation.

So Here is the list:

Nature of the business (something non fade/hype)

Quality of Management (I think MBA would be good idea)

Quality of Auditors (Big four?)

Capital Reserve (Equity)

Management ownership

Political environment (We are talking global companies)

Competition (Size, quality)

Please let me know more, and of course the output when all this goes in the brain is the price.
