  • Which Of The Two LA Mayoral Candidates Deserves To Be The Mayor In 2013 - Draiman 1 comment

Which of the two LA Mayoral candidates deserves to be the mayor in 2013

The candidate that deserves to win is the one that has the people of Los Angeles interest at heart.

The candidate that can unify the City in a common goal for transparency and sincerely promote the city to the business world.

The candidate that can encompass the various factions within the city for a coalition government of all the parties, thereby representing all the people of Los Angeles.

The candidate that instills hope and confidence in the voters that his administration will improve the city's financial and economic condition.

Do you think any of the run-off candidates has what it takes to do that?

Author’s reply » LA is larger than many countries and has a greater number of people.

    I propose a solution:

We need a concession from our city employees of a 10% pay cut across the board and a 15% minimum contribution to the pension and health plan accelerating by 5% each year for the next 3 years. (a peace of cake is better than no cake at all – if the city goes bankrupt you lose everything you have worked for years to accumulate)

A consolidation of departments and technological upgrades throughout all departments, increase efficiency, reducing redundancy and holding all department heads accountable.

Conduct serious re-negotiations with unions in good faith.

The city of LA has lost over 10,000 businesses in the past 4 years, and the trend will continue. Why do you think that happened here in LA.?
Aerospace industry, which was a substantial employment and revenue generator for the city of Los Angeles, has been reduced to a skeleton of its glory days.

Therefore, we must find alternative employment in our city and actively and aggressively promote businesses in the city of Los Angeles with reduced bureaucracy and a friendly inviting atmosphere. Increasing business takes people of unemployment and government support, brings additional revenues to the government and advances economic growth.

Actively promote the exploration of hydrocarbon and renewable energy, with energy efficiency and water conservation. Reinvigorate our pride in Made in America products. Utilize LA’s natural resources and make Los Angeles the world capital of multitude energy sources, energy efficiency and water conservation development.

    Rebuild LA’s infrastructure

Rebuild our education system and devise an atmosphere that is conducive for education. Set-up trade schools to teach and train students in old and new technologies. We are living in an ever-changing economic environment, we must respond accordingly with our education system and our work force.

It is in everyone’s interest to make LA a thriving city.
