Jim Rogers was a guest on this week's edition of the Financial Sense Newshour with Jim Puplava. It's a great

Jim Rogers photointerview - which you can listen to here. (Note: If you're reading this post later on, you may need to search for the June 12, 2010 episode through the archives).

Sometimes Jim's CNBC interviews can be kind of lame, if the interviewer happens to be a numbnuts not familiar with Jim's outlook or free market economics in general. This interview, though, is a beauty - especially if you're interested in hearing Jim's outlook on life in general. He expands upon the advice he lays out in his latest book A Gift to My Children: A Father's Lessons for Life and Investing (which is a fun, quick read by the way).

True to his investing strategy, Jim has also employed his contrarian thinking to life in general, and it's worked out extremely well for him. He's made a lot of money, traveled the world multiple times, and has lived live 100% on his own terms. Not a bad guy to take advice from!

So what are Jim's current investing picks? He's still bullish on commodities - which he believes will be the first to recover if and when the global economy rebounds. He thinks the Euro is eventually toast. And, he still likes Asia as the economic story of the 21st century.

Again, here's the link to Jim Rogers' interview with Jim Puplava on the Financial Sense Newshour.
