  • PART 2 - Who Is The Real Wall Street Laggard The TRUTH 3 comments
    Jul 28, 2012 3:33 PM | about stocks: ARNA

It would appear that we are down to the very bottom of the barrel when it comes to trying to make sense of the BS that The Street.com is trying to pedal. For the second time the Street.com lists Arena Pharma as the stock that brought the Bio Sector down. Arena was down 14 cents or 1.4%. In the paragraph to follow it states Other company's within the Drugs industry that declined today were: Horizon Pharma, down 17.4%, Theratechnologies, down 14.8%, Sequenom, down 12.3%, and Amarin, down 11.8%.

So what is the appeal of stepping on a stock that traded 5M shares on Friday versus an average volume of 25M. Well THE TRUTH is that The Street.com got hurt by backing the wrong stock and got caught with their pants down. They did not like that their shyster friends got caught on the wrong side of the trade as well. At one point The Street.com backed the stock of Vivus but now has done a reverse course as The Street.coms Mailbag has now turned on VVUS saying it is overhyped. Of course this coming from Adam Feurstein who said Arena would never get FDA approval.

A recent article posted by Citron suggests that Vivus drug Qysimia may never get to market because of patent infringement. This along with the restrictions placed on Qysimia make Arena a pretty attractive stock right now.

So one must ask why keep pushing against Arena with its good safety profile? The fact is that with such low volume now those traders who got caught, like The Street.com, with their pants down now have no where to go. In fact, a short squeeze the likes of one that has never been seen is percolating. The folks with their pants down are about to face a cataclysmic ending to the charade they are pulling on Wall Street.

So to the Street.com I say farewell old friend. Your past failures are known and indicative of your future failures. One can only hope that the drop in CNBC ratings continue to drop just like your readership.

    Disclosure: I am long ARNA.

I'm not sure the short squeeze will ever materialize but It is telling how transparent cramer is in his attempt to bash arna. The HF people protect their own so he will get out of it via dark pool movement or some such vagary. Unfortunately.
The good part is that arna will most likely exceed expectations.

When I saw the article with ARNA being a drug laggard for the 5th or so week in a row it just made me want to buy more shares and I will be doing so on Monday.
