Theme park goers were in for a gastronomic treat as The Original Soupman filled the ranks of select gourmet food trucks last month to cater the Six Flags Fast Tracks and Food Trucks Festival in Jackson, New Jersey.

For an affordable price, guests were able to sample The Original Soupman's best-selling soup flavors such as The Jambalaya, Beef Chili, Lentil and Italian Wedding. The Original Soupman also offered a wide variety of gluten-free and vegetarian soup options for health-conscious festival-goers.

Food truck companies that participated in the festival include Ahh! La Cart, Dark Side of The Moo, El Lechon de Negron, Hibachi Heaven, Mexi-Flip Taco Truck, and Cupcake Carnival, to name a few.

A wine tasting event for wine aficionados also coincided with the festival. Each purchase of a wine sampling ticket entitled a festival attendee to get a wine "glass" and to try an unlimited sample of wine styles from the participating seven New Jersey wineries that include Auburn Road Vineyards, Coda Rossa Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Plagido's Windery, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Winery and Wagonhouse Winery.

The wineries also sold wine bottles to-go for attendees who'd like to take home one or consume on-premise.

Top Chef contestant and 24 Prince restaurant co-owner Nikki Cascone also graced the festival with her presence and conducted a cooking demonstration and autograph signing for attendees.

Entrance to the festival was already covered by the theme park admission. To get in, guests were required to buy a theme park admission or season pass as the Six Flags did not sell festival only tickets.

A separate ticket for the wine sampling, on the other hand, was available at different rates for Season Pass holders and non-Season Pass holders at the event. The ticket was also made available for online purchase using the promo code TRUCK.

Prices were set by participating food and wine vendors, according to the Six Flags website.

The Original Soupman introduced a mobile soup truck franchise model in June 2013 at the 22nd International Franchise Expo, an annual trade show sponsored by the International Franchise Association. The expo showcases over 400 franchises in the United States.

"With a low investment and a simple and easy business model that is perfectly situated for high-volume situations, we are confident that our brand can roll-out this new franchise opportunity nationwide," The Original Soupman CEO Lloyd Sugarman said of the opportunity in a company news release.

The Original Soupman also revealed a new restaurant model, Al's Famous New York Delicatessen & Restaurant, at the expo. Consumers will be able to enjoy a comprehensive menu of SoupMan soups, New York deli selections, as well as a full breakfast menu from the said restaurant model.

The restaurant model's first investor was Johnny Rockets franchise owner Robert Azinian, who had signed a multi-branch deal with The Original Soupman to open the restaurant model in casinos across the US and Canada. Newly established locations of the restaurant model include the Mohegan Resorts Casino in Atlantic City and the Mohegun Sun at Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania.

Soupman, Inc. (OTCQX: SOUP) is the parent company that owns The Original Soupman. The company is headquartered in Staten Island, New York.
