Today is a tough day on Wall Street. After the unemployment numbers have settled into the minds of traders across the country, the major indices have all fallen about 2% or more. The Euro has just broken below 1.20 against the U.S. dollar as well.

Despite today’s falling stock prices, here are three movers in the small cap space.

Omni Energy Services (NASDAQ: OMNI) is trading at 2.67 up .55 or 25% on a volume of 2.5 million
after agreeing to be sold to Wellspring Capital for $66.3 million. The offer of 2.75 is a 30% premium of omni’s closing price yesterday. The deal also allows OMNI to solicit other possible bidders until July.

China Medical Technologies is trading at 12.08 up 2.05 or 20% after reporting fourth quarter earnings. The company reported that profit fell to 9.1 million RMB or $1.3 million USD. Sales of the immunodiagnostic systems were down 46%. CMED lost 57 million RMB or $8.3 million for the year
