We're in a unique environment where corporate America is doing great. Job growth overseas is great thanks to outsourcing. Corporate profits should be good with a weak dollar allowing for better sales abroad, while corporate titans are making good money. Stock prices rise on this kind of environment.

Meanwhile, for most Americans without big 401Ks, things aren't good. Savers aren't rewarded given abysmal yields. Housing data is horrible as prices continue to fall and inventories build. Potential buyers of new homes can't qualify for mortgages as lending standards are now discouragingly strict. The employment picture is bleak and just got a whole lot worse with Friday's shocking employment report. So we have the two different worlds: Wall Street vs Main Street.
