Market Notes: It appears as if all of the major averages save for the OEX have broken their 200dma. Ugh. Even more depressing for the bulls is that the VIX has broken its 25 resistance level and is shooting for 30 which, at this pace, could be by the end of next week. I do hope all of you bulls did lighten up on your positions when the SPX went into the Sell zone. But if not, don't despair, now is the time you can make up for some of the loss by putting together a watchlist for the when the market finally bottoms. An excellent strategy for those with options experience is to begin selling covered puts on stocks you'd like to own when the market shows signs of turning around. The heightened volatility will give you a juicy premium on the options. As this is my final commentary, I wish to thank all of you for being loyal subscribers.
