  • Trades I Will Be Looking To Make On July 1st, 2011 With WW 0 comments
    Jul 1, 2011 1:03 AM

Let me start with this is a new signal not fully backtested as well as it could have been.  I am posting entries and exits in order to get feedback on how to improve the signal.  This may be difficult as I am not going to disclose the rules of producing the signals but anyone with enough time and effort will likely be able to reverse engineer it without much difficulty.

I am naming this signal the WW and it generates longs and shorts.  I fully recommend following along but not with real money.  What I can say about the WW signal is it combines both trend following and fading to find points that are likely to have a stock price reverse within less than half of a percent (often within 10 cents or less of the high or low of the day) and can be used for swing trading and day trading.  This signal is likely to be useful for option trading as well but I have not begun to study either buying or selling premium as a way to mitigate risk or to enhance gains.

The WW signal works with several steps.

    • The open must happen within a price range and if so then move to the next step
    • If the opening price is within the price range then the amount of capital being risked on the trade is divided into five parts (this is adjustable but I will be using 20% per entry as standard for now). Each entry is about two cents apart for a total of about 10 cents to fully fade/enter into the trade
    • Exits are done by using a fixed beginning stop loss and after the price moves in my direction I will then use a trailing stop of about 50 cents of the high or low of the move
    • Winners on average are expected to be larger than losers on average in dollars per trade
    • Number or winning trades are expected to be greater than losing trades
    • combination of larger winners than losers and greater number of winning trades verses losing trades should make this a very good signal for me to trade.
    • Hopefully as forward testing goes on I will find methods to improve the signal

    First target for Friday

JDSU open must be between 16.35 -16.75, Enter long at 16.40 or better with a stop at 16.10

ADBE open 31.25-31.50 Long at 31.35 or better, stop 30.99

BK open 25.44-25.65 long at 25.55 or better, stop at 25.24

Wish me luck with my new signal that I am working on.  I will also be in the chat talking about my entries and exits with it.
