  • When Will A Major Chinese Company Buy One Of Their Solar Producers? 0 comments
    Jul 18, 2014 1:51 PM

Today I saw a large JKS August 30 call buyer and scratched my head. Maybe the buyer is looking to get long ahead of earnings or potentially a yield co. play with sune yieldco ripping today. It got me thinking though. What if CNOOC or SINOPEC pulled a Tot type move and bought a Chinese solar and leveraged the low cost easy access to capital synergy that would be created. Further, with the recent WTO ruling in favor of Chinese producers my question is why hasn't it happened already?

Disclosure: The author is long JKS.

Additional disclosure: and plans to trade them actively
