Whats a good way to reduce those numbers quickly ? China goes to War

What could have been thier reasoning for causing the situation? War

What would happen if Israel attacks Iran? War would expand thier borders. China is in need of water, land for people, oil would be the icing on the cake.
What do you think they would do with that massive sized Army?

I think your article has some really good points. And yes, Speedspirit has a good point about male-heavy numbers being a great precursor to war.

I instablogged an article earlier this evening ago about another possible scenario: "Two Interesting Factors Can Aid China's Growth", where I discuss infrastructure and a possible population boom, as factors leading to prosperity and further growth for China. I'd appreciate constructive feedback.

The parents of these boys also save for the inevitable dowry to be paid to the brides family.

As far as more males equaling a more aggressive national posture, it could be argued quite the opposite. Parents are quite protective of only children. There could be a big social backlash if the government takes the sons away for war.

Introspective comment.

If anyone studies China's history, one would realize China has very rarely been an agressive country. It built the great wall around itself as a defensive act from invading Mongolians and Turks. The mentality of the average Chinese is put very clear by Jackie Chan's favortae quote in his movies" I jus don wan chouble" ( I just don't want trouble).

Until the communist party took control of China in 1949, China has never been depited by the Western world as agressive.( It was taken over by Mongolia in the 15th century. Restored, but later carved up by eight countries during 19th century namely lead by 1. "Peace Loving" gentlemen from Great Britain, 2. Men and women of "Good taste" the French, 3. The "highly disciplined" Germans, 4. "The only civilized and industrial Asians" The Japanese, 5. " The only strong power in Asia" The russians, 6. "The rising cow boys and opportunists" The Americans, 7. " The romantic and charming and loving gentlemen" The Italians, 8. I think it is the Turkish.

Subsequently, large part of China was carved up into concession areas by all the "civilized" "well disciplined" " good taste" " well dressed" " well spoken" " LOVING" etc countries. And as it was propaganed back then, China was now "opened" and territories well managed( sure, you take over people's land and call it well managed. Hmmm... do we see similarities today in Iraq? Everything requires some propaganda right?)

Then World War I occured and subsequently, " good poeple" had to send their main forces back to their own country and various part of China was finally returned.

Then came WWII, and Japan nearly took over China.

When the communicst party won over the democratic(capitalist) party in China, it was until then a propaganda was deeply needed during the cold war between USA(capitalism) and USSR(communism).

Those who call China agressive has not read about her history. It is country with small amount of land and little natural resources that have been agressive such as Great Britain ( the sun never sets on the Great Britain Empire, Spain ( went all the way out to conquer South America), and Japan which nearly took over the Asia Pacific.

Propaganda is such an interesting thing.

Thanks for the statistics. Only children often have arguably overprotective parents. I'm not exactly sure what 32 million additional boys puts the boy/girl ratio at in China for the under 20 set. I imagine this situation would create an urge to travel, date older women, or in some cases create more of a demand for same sex civil unions.

It's a good point I think you made that the excess of males has driven the Chinese towards commerce. In a competitive environment for females, money is an primary weapon. Still I clicked through to an add for a website the other day (just out of curiosity) listing prospective Chinese brides looking for American gentlemen, not sure what that says given that women over there would appear to have their pick of Chinese men.

The China Adoption Agency in Colorado is number one and has grown so large that they've constructred a new building. Many Families have adopted daughters, a remarkable farsighted and great policy by China's social engineering authorities. While in the US, Planned Parenthood has prospered and US social engineers (er, Politicians) opened the doors to unfettered unregistered immigration and citizenship by amnesty.. Sons of China, your brides are here waiting on you. We need your work ethics and expertise, such as in BYD, "Build Your Dream", to reengineer US Capitalism and inprison these Keynsian financiers.

Speaking as a man, I can tell you that civilization is the by product of females getting their mates to get off their asses and provide resources for their young. Were it not for women, men would still be sitting in caves getting one arm much more toned than the other, and occassionally going to the next cave over to bash in some skulls. (The modern equivalent is paunchy middle-aged guys living in their parent's basement and playing multiple max level characters in World of Warcraft online.) Women are a civilizing influence on men.

Take away that feminen influence and what do you get? The Taliban. Look at Arab culture. A mysoginistic culture and multiple wives per man mean that quite a few males have no hope of getting laid in this life. They are easy pickings for religious leaders promising an end to blue balls in the next life in exchange for violence during this one.

Young men with no prospects equals money burning a hole in the pockets of ambitious empire builders.

I have friends in China, they are getting ready for war should anyone attempt to invade but don't appear to be an aggressor - they aren't going to attack countries that buy their goods! The too many males and not enough females isn't a problem. Girls make up a large percentage of the people doing jobs traditionally done by men like policing. My friends are doing International business studies at university and on their first week of undergraduate studies were told about a university in England where they could do post graduate studies. Studies aren't 9 to 5 and there is no waste. They don't even have text book this year. They frequently study late at night and continue through the weekend. Temperature are high when I tell them about the temperate climate in England, they look forward to coming here. They will think it's a holiday when they see out students enjoying themselves and occasionally studying.

They do compulsory military training despite being girls and study Taekwondo regularly. There was a half dozen murders at the university last year and so they are stressed and there are problems. Capitalism is mixed strangely with communism now; to produce a one party socialism.

Excess male populations--throughout the history of demographics--have lead to numerous, intriguing social phenomena, for absorbing or deleting said excess:

1) More crime, prisoners and prisons for the maladjusted males unable to build a traditional domestic life
2) Skyrocketing gang organizing and vigilantism--especially in urban areas
3) _Further_ devaluation of the female gender--prostitution, rape and misogyny
4) More monastic life--similar, but generally more "social" alternatives to 1 and 2
5) Higher proportions of homosexual behavior and pedophilia--again, see 1 and 2--and the ensuing higher sexual disease rates
6) Lower birthrates overall and a marginal tendency towards population stabilization
7) Much, much greater inclination towards a war footing over real and perceived--but generally marginal--benefits
8) Expulsion of males out of the society--of the Mariel boat lift or Australian "transportation" episodes
9) Immigration of brides in to the society--and some net increase in multiculturalism and plurality
10) Younger brides--many more pregnant and ill-equipped 13 year-old's

There are no value judgements in any of this--just statements of what tends to happen. Want citations--do your own research and draw your own conclusions. These are all just "natural" responses to not having a balance between male and female populations.

The percentage differences can be very small and still have these sorts of astonishing outcomes.

China will have an extraordinarily difficult time dealing with this skewed ratio between female and male population proportion.
