Good call. But the key is research on how the business model will benefit from all of the positive exposure that Avatar is bringing the the IMAX platform.

Imax needs to flip the table and put the cost of production on the film companies. Also, IMAX needs to put more financial pressure on their partners who are installing the projectors. Collections should be good this quarter, thanks to the strong Avatar numbers.
3D is rocking in China for Avatar. China has pulled the 2d version of the movie. Bodes well for IMAX in China.

James Cameron’s movie “Avatar” will open in a record 261 Imax theaters this week, according to Imax Corp. and Twentieth Century Fox.
The film is the first from director James Cameron since “Titanic” in 1997. “Titanic” remains the top-grossing film of all time, taking in more than $1.8 billion worldwide.
Strong expectatations for Avatar have moved Imax stock 15% in the last 2 weeks.
