It will be interesting to see if we manage to stay at $5 or get pushed downward again before the earnings call later this month. With the increased volume today, maybe we are seeing some buy-ins before updated Zev sales info. I hope.

I do think things are going to get better for SPPI at some point.

Here's a slightly modified excerpt of my recent response to Rx Eddie:

Worth noting, the traffic on SPPI's primary message boards has slowed dramatically. I know that shareholders are still out there, but it appears that many of them are sitting tight until shares break north of $5.83 or so. You may recall $5.83 is the price that shares must hit so that the holders of the next series of warrants can exercise them before they expire this month. HAHAHA! No, not really. I contend that the warrant holder has been using them to hedge a large short position (11% SI) in order to protect it from an unanticipated surge in share price. This short position will enable him to take a much larger position at some point in the future. In effect, these warrants are functioning similar to call options at $5.83.

With a proper Q4 report, I think March could end on a high note for SPPI. This will bring smiles to many patient shareholders. I planned my investment in SPPI to be longer-term and repeatedly expressed my intentions. Nevertheless, this stock has still been a challenge. In the end, however, I know shareholders will be right on SPPI.

    I hope this helps Doc!

    Justin -

It does indeed. Also your article that had the SPPI warrant dates and links to the strike prices was very telling.

I completely agree with you about the warrants. It's almost sad how the PPS tracks the expiration of the warrants and their respective strike prices. Friday, I believe, is one of the last of the $5/share warrant expiration. Will be fun to see if we climb up into the $6s/$7s then.

While an immediate pop up to where I think sppi will end up would be nice, I'd almost prefer to wait for all the warrants to expire before really seeing the PPS takeoff to avoid additional dilution. I think we should have some good numbers towards the end of the month though.

Took a bit of a hiatus from seeking alpha as a few other investments took shape but am back now.

Glad to hear things are going well. And nice articles.

SPPI's chart is setting up for a big move. I believe we could see $10 again much sooner than many are anticipating.

In full disclosure, I've been building onto my existing long position(s) in SPPI over the past couple of months.

    It'll get there.
