  • Latest GOOGLE Woes Might Force Them To Lean Towards Early Settlement With VRINGO. 2 comments
    Oct 13, 2012 5:10 PM | about stocks: FH

In Less than a day GOOGLE was struck with more serious problems. If FTC/US regulators sues Google on its alleged abuse of search dominance, it is said to be biggest case on a corporate giant since 1990's antitrust case on Microsoft. And then Microsoft added Google as a defendant in its patent case.

So the Question is: Is it even worth for Google spending all its time in fighting with VRINGO in patent case where majority of limine's have come favourable to VRINGO? Which means Google has less experts opinions to present to jury than Vringo ex: Damage Calculations/Royalty calculations.

It will be good in Google's interest they try to settle with Vringo and concentrate at bigger problems in hand and for VRINGO it cannot get better than this heading into big Trial week starting on October 16th. Now they can actually use this to their advantage and pressurize Google in Settlement talks.

    Disclosure: I am long VRNG.

Additional disclosure: I have not been compensated for this article and these are my expressions and opinions

Author’s reply » Yes Ofcourse. Most of the MIL'S have come VRINGO's way and latest anti-trust case is Huge. If GOOGLE does a simple ROI on Vringo Vs FTC antitrust case, they will try to eliminate Vringo's case by settling faster imo. In this process Vringo can/will ask what they wanted or may be more than that.
