Whipsaw Wednesday, Expect Another Choppy Session

The Wednesday before options expiration, which is on December 16, 2011, is usually the most volatile trading day of the week. Traders should expect another wild ride in the market today. So far, the major stock indexes have sold off for two consecutive trading sessions and today is really anyone’s guess as to how the markets will finish. This morning, the S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES Z1) are trading lower by 0.50 points to 1225.75 per contract. Traders should expect more news out of the Europe Union.
