    I just don't know how long Reid can resist the pressure to exercise the "nuclear option" and just push the bill through with fewer than 60 votes. I don't see him holding out that long, his recent gambit to kick the can past New Years didn't seem to get much respect from the White House...

    I am trying to make arrangements to get out of this police state and find a free country. I cant stand paying illegal taxes to fund this police state. I predict that the Dems will evetually get the socialized medicine bill passed and then on to the global cap and trade scheme which taxes what people exhale and plants breathe. Say goodbye to the american republic and say hello to the facist police state.

    She is referred to as "Madam" Pelosi in the house of ill repute. Apparently there are at least 220 "working" congressional representatives there working on her street. There are another 200+ "working" on a different street.

    Maybe we should change the name to the "House of the Rising Sun". It fits with the "say one thing mean another" crap from this administration. I really dont think our sun is rising any longer. Pelosi et al must love sunsets. She does of course live on the left coast.

    Ours is going to be spectacular.

    Yes. It's just the beginning. Next will be either a VAT, Carbon Tax or Cap & trade. Then more control over the Media, especially the news (as if they didn't already control it) and then opinions (i.e., talk radio). If airlines' profits get any worse, they'll bail them out (the big ones) and take them over. Don't even get me started on education and the slant that goes on in the college classrooms. The doctrine will become even more widespread and begin much earlier. And finally, they will create the public security force that BO has talked so much about. There they will be able to really brainwash our kids. How long to I have? How long will this process take?

    Okay. I sound a little paranoid here. Hopefully our political system can be straightened out and we will be able to right the course. But when? The sooner the movement starts the better.

    YH, I don't think you would survive one itty bitty peck from those lips. Think along the terms of vampires. If you do get a date however I will gladly load any caliber round in 100% silver bullets for you. All fees and delivery will be forgiven upon extermination of said vampire.

    And I thought I was sick!!

    I suspect the Secret Service will be knocking early tomorrow morning so I need to get on this as soon as possible.

    You could just swirl one of those bullets around in your mouth 3X daily for a possible cure. After all they are silver.

    Looking at the pic, I think she would have done better in "Misery" than Kathy Bates. And Kathy did great.

    Unfortunately, the movie would have probably had to be re-cast as a documentary film.

    I recall there was a "Six-Million Dollar Man" TV Series starred by Mr. Major. Oh well, our lady speaker of the house would perhaps ascend to that fame of being a "Three Trillion Dollar Woman". Yes, $3T with the T.

    You see, she spearheaded the TARP bill which was $700B, only to put millions in bonuses for the Greedy Bankers, the BHO Stimulus bill which was another $878B, and now this - $1.2T so-called health care bill.

    So add it up: $(700+878+1200) = $2778B which is ~ $3T, not exactly but close.

    I would have more respect for her if she would answer her call for being so altruistic by going back to serve in the soup kitchen in the slumps of San Francisco, CA, rather than mugging around with taxpayers money. You know, be a Bill Gates, create Billions of wealth, set up a Foundation to give it away, rush to Africa to save that continent...Don't mess with other folks money....

    Soup Kitchen...middle class...it's all the same to her now. So really, in her eyes, I'm sure she sees herself as doing great works for the downtrodden.

    Fascism started with Bush. Hopefully there will be some senators who require this plan to make sense. I think there are some holdouts who can modify the plan. All we need is more money going to healthcare.

    Disagree, fascism started with confiscation of the American peoples gold and lots of government controlled programs. SSI included. All under FDR.

    Now we have another crises and administration with the same mentality.

    Washington is and has been fascist since the Federal govt began taking power from the states and it has occurred under both Demicans and Republicrats.
