Love Friday's AdExchanger comic (link below) and I particularly like the Octane "IP Address" Data option that Looksmart have 'exclusively' in it's marketplace...Afterall [at Looksmart]...."we follow users showing search intent." [in receiving 'over 5 Billion search queries' a day from the search engines] - "we are looking at the IP..... [of]..the individual user".

Will "Search targeting" be a 'next step' for Facebook? Was the question I had asked in a recent post. Is the Pope a Catholic?

< Facedbook is planning to introduce real-time bidding, a technology Google has employed for years that lets advertisers target users based on their browsing history.

The service, called Facebook Exchange, is expected to go live in a few weeks.

Facebook is working with eight firms - Turn, TellApart, MediaMath, DataXu, AdRoll, Triggit & The Trade Desk - on the program. Facebook has recently begun employing cookies to track users via their browsers. The third parties will match those cookies with information from other sites. ......For example, if a user has searched "SUV," and goes on Facebook, auto advertisers will be able to serve that person ads on Facebook for SUVs.>

Facebook (according to the above article) introduced the real-time bidding service in June.
