It was (and as was advised in the Google DoubleClick Exchange's blog post - see my previous instapost here for a Link) way back in June of 2010 that Criteo had integrated with the GOOG DoubleClick Ad Exchange’s RTB API to then get to access a "pipe" for RTB'.

I'd then asked readers to stop to consider the independent Looksmart AdCenter marketplace, as being that "pipe" (& the same goes for all of Criteo's partners) to access - - that will allow the Google DoubleClick Exchange's advertisers, to partake in a RTB global marketplace.

How else will any of Google's advertisers get to service large brand campaigns across Google, Microsoft & Yahoo S/E's and then see them compete on an equal basis with others, for their respective targeted audiences?

It was SearchEngineWatch (from in it's "Marin Integrates Criteo Site Retargeting Into PPC Bid Management Platform" article], who had advised of the following:

< Personalized retargeting is the process by which it is possible to [re-?] reach non-converting visitors to your site. - Ads to product pages that users have visited but can be targeted to the same user over a period of 30-90 days - via a backfill advertising network. >

Via a back-fill advertising network? Hello?

And, as had been mentioned here: tinyurl.com/43lnseh

The ClickStream for Looksmart.com (as recorded @ Alexa.com) clearly shows this above scenario, is surely, now the case?

    Upstream Sites

Which sites did users visit immediately preceding looksmart.com?

% of Unique Visits Upstream Site
    23.21% google.com
    10.85% 7search.com
    9.54% yahoo.com
    6.51% miva.com
    6.07% microsoft.com
    4.12% facebook.com
    2.17% accurately-locate.com
    2.17% ask.com
    2.17% baidu.com
    1.95% advertise.com

    Downstream Sites

Where do visitors go after leaving Looksmart.com?

% of Unique Visits Downstream Site
    23.18% google.com
    11.48% 7search.com
    7.73% microsoft.com
    6.62% yahoo.com
    5.30% miva.com
    4.19% facebook.com
    3.09% lycos.com
    1.99% advertise.com
    1.99% bing.com
    1.99% google.ca

The incredible growth in Looksmart's performance advertising related engagements (see the Traffic Stats/Reach), and of the CPA/CPV higher costing variety should suggest Looksmart having very good or, much improved revenues in this Q2 (that we are in) and even better in the Q3/Q4 periods.

    Looksmart's AdCenter marketplace is 'housed' @ Looksmart.com

Percent of global Internet users who visit looksmart.com:

      Reach Change
7 day 0.01100 +18% Change in Reach over the trailing 7 day period
1 month 0.00870 +38% Change in Reach over the trailing 1 month period
3 month 0.00800 -12% Change in Reach over the trailing 3 month period

And that Twitter is denying my 'tweeting' of anything (and has done so for many hours now), is of grave concern for me. ("Sorry! We did something wrong. Try sending your tweet again in a minute") - - Yet, all those who I follow (and others) have no problems 'tweeting', it's clear to see. - How sad!!

1st it was Yahoo! doing the CENSORING (along with many other sites), and now it's Twitter? - tinyurl.com/3nhhlnz

And we show concern about Facebook and China? Really?

It's early days but this is surely another step to confirm both mine and the fears that this more qualified person has written of in his book:

    Mind Control & the Internet"

".........In this way, the Internet, which isn’t the press, but often functions like the press by disseminating news & information, begins to cut us off from dissenting opinion and conflicting points of view, all the while seeming to be neutral and objective - - - - - and unencumbered by the kind of bias inherent in and embraced by, say, the The Weekly Standard or, The Nation."

Hey, GREED is NOT good. - And clearly misused POWER, is (I feel) bordering on being inhuman! - Is this really the kind of world that we want to leave behind for our children and grand children?

    All an opinion, as always.
