AES Tiete SA (BVMF: GETI3)

It is a Brazil-based company active in energy sector. The company is engaged in the generation and marketing of electric power. Its activities are regulated and inspected by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency. As of December 31, 2011 it had two wholly owned subsidiaries, which are active in the hydroelectric power generations: AES Minas PCH Ltda and AES Rio PCH Ltda. As of February 14, 2012 Companhia Brasiliana de Energia was the major shareholder of the Company.

The company has a market capitalization of 8.20 Billion, EPS is 2.10, P/E ratio is 9.83 and the dividend yield is 12.15% at the annual dividend payout of 0.56.

The company is mainly engaged in the electric power industry. It is involved in the study, projection and exploration of systems of electric transmission and generation. As of December 31, 2011, it operates two hydroelectric power plants in Brazil, Correntina and Alto Femeas, with a total installed capacity of 10.7 mega-watts. As of July 20, 2012, Neoenergia SA held an 87.80% stake in the Company.

CTEEP Cia Transm Energia Eletr Paulista (BVMF: TRPL4)

It is a Brazil-based company which is engaged in the electrical power transmission. The company is mainly involved in the operation of electricity transmission systems. Its activities are controlled and inspected by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency. The company is active in 14 Brazilian states. As of December 31, 2011, the company had three wholly owned subsidiaries such as Interligacao Eletrica de Minas Gerais SA, Interligacao Eletrica Pinheiros SA and Interligacao Eletrica Serra do Japi SA.

The company has a market capitalization of 5.06 Billion, EPS is 4.56, P/E ratio is 7.28 and the dividend yield is 9.87% at the annual dividend payout of 0.64.

Tractebel Energia SA (BVMF: TBLE3)

It is related to the energy sector. The company is engaged in the generation and sale of electric power and also provides online customer services to its customers. It operates power plants in the Brazilian states of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, Sao Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Goias, Ceara, Piaui, Minas Gerais, Tocantins and Maranhao. The Company is controlled by GDF SUEZ Energy Latin America participacoes Ltda. As of December 31, 2011 it had five subsidiaries.

CESP - Companhia Energetica de Sao Paulo (BVMF: CESP)

It is Brazil-based electrical company. It is mainly engaged in the planning, construction and operation of electrical energy generation and distribution infrastructure. It is also involved in complementary activities, such as forestation, reforestation and fish-farming, as a means of protecting the environment affected by the construction of the company's reservoirs and facilities. As of December 31, 2011 it had installed generating capacity of 7,456 megawatts which was composed of six hydroelectric plants.

It has a market capitalization of 6.73 Billion, EPS is 0.83, P/E ratio is 24.67 and the dividend yield is 5.89% at the annual dividend payout of 0.30.
