France has a strong and stable market for investing money. It is the largest country in Western Europe with a land area of 550,000 square kilometers. The country situates at the crossroads of Western and Central Europe, Scandinavia and the Mediterranean basin. France provides its investors with industrial huge open spaces, numerous lightly populated areas, while land prices are still tempting. The France's market has about 60 million consumers whose purchasing power per head is one of the highest in whole Europe. While investing in Les actions en France à dividendes élevés you should focus on the company Legrand SA. Here I am sharing brief information about it.

    Legrand SA

Legrand is a French industrial group that specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of products and systems for electrical installations and information networks. The company is a world leader in products and systems for electrical installations and information networks in terms of sales. Its activity is organized around four product families: products for monitoring and controlling electrical energy, including switches, electrical connectors, thermostats, dimmers, burglar alarms, smoke detectors, audio and video connectors, energy distribution products, including circuit breakers, electrical boxes, electrical cabinets, cable management systems, including channels moulding, conduits floor boxes, and structured wiring systems, including wall sockets for high-speed transmission, optical fiber and copper splitters and connection panels used in telephone and computer networks.

The company is market leader in at least one of its main areas of business in 27 countries. It ranks second in India for sales of switches and sockets, and ranks first for miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) and distribution boards (DBs). The Group is also expanding its product range with regards to sustainable development and energy saving technologies and also has developed new products for photovoltaic installations and lighting control.

The company was founded in 1904 but Legrand is the successor of a company created in 1865. The company's origins date back to 1860, when a Limoges porcelain workshop was set up on the route de Lyon in Limoges. In 1904 the company was taken over by Fredric Legrand, who gave his name to the company. In the year of 1919 the company entered into partnership with Jean Mondot an artisan from Limoges who had started, in Exideuil, a small factory making electric switches using porcelain and boxwood.

It has made 120 targeted acquisitions all around the world, thus becoming a large diversified maker of electrical wiring devices with more than 150,000 product items. As if 2006 it has bases in 70 countries and sales in 180 countries. In 1970 the company was listed to the Paris Stock Exchange for the first time.

On 17 June 2013 the company and Opti Cool Technologies announced an agreement to jointly market OptiCool's innovative cooling solution with the broad range of Legrand network infrastructure products to the North America data center market. Both companies are collectively targeting the data center market with rack-based precision cooling.

On 1 August 2013, Legrand SA announced that it confirms its fiscal year 2013 targets for organic growth in sales of between 2% and +2%, and for adjusted operating margin before acquisitions of between 19% and 20% of sales. The company holds 70% of equity with an option to take full control from July 2018. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    Dividend History

The company has current market capitalization of 10.42 Billion, EPS is 1.90, P/E ratio is 20.19 and the dividend yield is 2.61% at the annual dividend payout of 1.00.
