I am glad to say that China-related start-ups had taken three positions in the top 10. Considering the new regulation moves in EU, there would be more and more hedge funds heading to Asian asset management centers such as Singapore and Hong Kong. As the same time, as western firms are closing their offices in Asia, investment professionals in regional offices would like to start their own funds.

As the development of domestic hedge fund industry within China, Shanghai and Shenzhen could be potential hedge fund centers comparing to Hong Kong and Singapore.

Right now China hedge funds are all using equity long strategy because of current regulation environments and lacking of investment vehicles in China capital market. As the regulator had decided to allow short sales, margin trading and index futures trading, we could expect that local Chinese investors could be an emerging power in Asian hedge fund industry. I had been in talks with several family offices and global FoFs recently, it could be an opportunity for us to follow the domestic hedge fund sector to be await for glory days of absolute returns.
