  • Possible Short Squeeze in First Solar (FSLR) this week? 0 comments

    * Guidance meeting today at 4:30 est.

    *Company was too conservative last year on guidance. FSLR tends to underpromise and overdeliver. They may feel as though they do not receive proper credit when they beat.....so they might try to guide higher early as a new strategy.

    * Short interest is around 20% (I think)
    * Technicians think the stock is broken
    * Jim Cramer highlighted FSLR on his "Sell Block" segment
    * The point is that many are betting against FSLR

    * FSLR has been a good stock to sell calls on with high premiums. This week is expiration. Investors may be forced to buy shares if naked.

    * Just a hunch. Please do your own research on this.
