  • UBS Stock Down On Settlement with the IRS Obtaining 4450 US Tax Evaders  0 comments
    Aug 19, 2009 5:57 PM | about stocks: UBS
Today, the IRS obtained 4450 names in a civil case that was settled with UBS after UBS in February paid the IRS $780 million plus handed over 250 names. This lawsuit has definitely tarnished UBS's image. It also shows the strength of the IRS and US and sheds light on how agressive the IRS can be to get what is theirs
. UBS was down to -0.46 to 15.44

UBS if anything seems to be a hold, although the today the tax settlement was good news in a way for UBS to recover from any damage it may have recieved from these tax evaders.
