    Oct 25, 2012 9:36 PM | about stocks: VRNG

Tuesday, October 23 was Dr. Becker's turn to testify concerning Vringo's damages claimed in the Google patent suit. Vringo presented the testimony of numerous Google employees by videotape during the morning session, but clearly the order of the day was to get Dr. Becker's damages testimony before the jury.

Thank you for your insight Steve . Can anyone go and sit in the courtroom during the trial? Is it an open or closed sort of nature?

Author’s reply » It's open, but you are running out of time. Look for Google to finish their case on Monday, then for Vringo to present Carbonell in rebuttal later in the day. Closing arguments possibly Tuesday, and then the jury starts deliberations. I think it is fair to anticipate a verdict on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

Thanks for your updates Steve - they are very insightful. Just a quick comment on the pincer article you just published - I believe you meant the Continental Army of 1771, not 1871.

Cheers mate and keep up the good work. Next week should be interesting!

Steve...may I ask, if VRNG wins this thing, we all know GOOG will appeal....I am not asking wht will happen, however how long does it take the first appeal to go in front of the appeallate court

Author’s reply » I personally think the appeal is a red herring. I think the stock will react to the jury verdict, not hold its breath for the appeal. If Vringo can get a significant jury verdict, then it gives them a lot of credibility on their ability to enforce the rest of their patent portfolio. I think investors can grab onto that.
