  • He's not the boss of me? AT&T, Apple & T-Mobile battle it out. 0 comments
Nov 11, 2010 8:04 AM | about stocks: DTEGY, AAPL

In a classic case of paybacks, T-Mobile is doing to Apple what AAPL did to Microsoft.

T-Mobile is running a series of TV ads poking fun at Apple's i-phone 4 and AT&T.  In the commercial, a very attractive young lady reminds a young man of the shortcomings of his
i-phone service.  You can watch the videos here and here.

In short, this is an opening battle over 4g service.  If these advertisements are still running past Thanksgiving, I'm guessing it means T-Mobile is finding traction with this message.

Recent press releases from T-Mobile are full of network and phone technology advances and can be found here.   The latest operating results for T-Mobile show continued growth.

The question is  - Can T-Mobile and /or the Android operating system compete with the more expensive cool factor of i-phone.  ( I think it can.)

And while the iron is hot, maybe it's time for this unit of Deutsche Telekom to be spun off?

    Disclosure: none

    Stocks: DTEGY, AAPL
