Triton Minerals Substantial Shareholder Ups Stake

Triton Minerals (ASX: TON) substantial shareholder Alan Jenks has increased his interest in the company to 14.11%, from 12.05%.

The company recently discovered extensive graphite mineralisation outcropping over a strike length of about 3.75 kilometres at its Balama North Project in Mozambique.

Results of an initial mapping program confirmed graphite mineralisation along the same sub-structure which extends in a northeast direction from the Balama East graphite deposit held by Syrah Resources (ASX: SYR).

The initial visual review of the outcrops shows potential medium and large flake graphite mineralisation.

Preliminary visual comparisons suggest that the graphite mineralisation located on Triton's licences show a number of similar characteristics to those found at Syrah's Balama deposits.

The work completed to date indicates that much of the graphite mineralisation in the Target 1 area is under cover of alluvial soils.

Further work will be required to test the depth of the cover and Triton plans to undertake this work in the next exploration program.
