Phoenix Gold (ASX: PXG) has appointed Stuart Hall as a non-executive director of the company.

Hall is a current non-executive director of Horseshoe Metals (ASX: HOR) and has over 40 years' experience of exploration and mining projects in Australia, Africa and South East Asia Asia.

He has experience in the areas of exploration and mine geology, open pit and underground mining operations, resource/reserve estimations, feasibility studies, mine project development and mine management.

An independently verified Resource update is expected in the current Quarter.

Phoenix remains fully funded for its activities beyond the investment decision with $20 million in cash as of 31 March 2013.
